From the Mix Tape files of Ms. Eleanor Seabird (vol. 2)

I know I said I’d update this weekly but I find it better to just update it when I have a brand new list of music for you guys to check out and see what you like or don’t like. I know it’s hard to really go through a long list of music but what I do is go to my itunes and make a playlist, then I’ll add all the songs that are on someone else’s recommendation list  to that playlist, and go through the thirty second clips and delete what I don’t like and then buy what songs I really do like. Or if you are on spotify making a list there and checking out the songs that way as well. I’m pretty old school, I like the art of search and discovery and hand making a list myself. Does anyone remember the TALKBOY from Home Alone? My parents bought me a karaoke machine and it came with little cheesy tapes. Seeing as I’m an escaped suburban kid, they only allowed me to have the cheesy music and nothing really mainstream. I got tired of singing YMCA over and over again so I took my talk boy tape out of the talk girl and figured out how to record songs with it on the radio. I would then play that and fade out the vocals and sing along to more modern songs. I then realised that I could make a whole list of songs I like this way and would spend ages waiting for my favourite songs to come on. Anyways here is Volume 2 enjoy- xx Eleanor

7.LA BICYCLETTE by YVES MONTAND- I love this song. Makes me feel cool.

8.SING SANG SUNG by AIR- This band have yet to make a bad album.

9. DICKHEAD by KATE NASH- I didn’t like her music till I heard this song.

10.TRUE by Spandeau Ballet- Remember the scene in Charlie’s Angels with the shake n bake chicken?

11.BRANDY (you’re a fine girl) by THE LOOKING GLASS- Reminds me of a girl named Julie actually……..

12.PAPARAZZI by LADY GAGA- I play this song and have way too many fantasies when I do……..

13.TEENAGE LOVE by MAGIC WANDS- This is a band that I hate that I love……. still hung up about the myspace thing.

14.BABY COME BACK by PLAYER- yes. Yes. YES!!!!!!!!!!!

15.MISS INDEPENDENT by NE-YO- It motivates me………..

16.LUST FOR LIFE by GIRLS- I sure hope I hang on to my lust for life…………

17.YOU’RE IN MY HEART by ROD STEWART- He really does have the most beautiful voice.

18.BLAME IT ON THE BOOGIE by Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5- Cheesy good time song I dance to when no one is looking.

19.HALF IN LOVE WITH ELIZABETH by MYSTERY JETS- I’m fully in love with this band!!!

20.SOMETHING IN THE WAY SHE MOVES by JAMES TAYLOR- He clearly hasn’t seen me dance……

21.ONE TRACK MIND by MAYER HAWTHORNE- I have his picture in my trapper keeper…er well I would if I had one.

22.AMIE by PURE PRAIRIE LEAGUE- 70s goodness.

24.TINMAN by ANIMAL KINGDOM- Their latest album is great but I like this song the best; saw them perform it live and it’s great!!

25.I BECAME A PROSTITUTE by the TWILIGHT SAD-Odds are this will be the only song you go and listen to……

26.CLOSING TIME by SEMISONIC- My reason for this song is private….but it has some significant meaning.
